Server I

The server I will be responsible for leading the property dining areas and ensuring all guests enjoy their experience. Responsibilities include ensuring the tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages customers accurately and with a positive attitude.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supervise the dining room floor when manager is not present, ensuring all guests are happy and enjoying their experience
  • Assist with ordering and inventory for lounge
  • Assist in creating menu items and specials and pricing them accordingly
  • Prepare restaurant and bar for service prior to opening and closing of each shift, checking opening and closing checklists
  • Communicate guest and personnel issues with the property management team
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, creating positive relationships with them
  • Have superior knowledge of the food and beverage menu, with the ability to train new staff members on service standards and menu
  • Take and serve orders from tables
  • Assist in running orders to tables, including delivering orders to guests’ rooms via room service
  • Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • Present checks and process payment
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Follow all cash handling and bank operating procedures as outlined by Highway West Vacations
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Bus dishes efficiently and reset tables to original configuration if moved
  • Assist with private events and other property initiatives as they become available
